Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Minor Tucker were held at her home Monday afternoon. The Rev. A. C. Turner officiated. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery beside her husband, who died in 1924. She died Sunday night at 10 45 at a Bowie hospital after 18 days of illness. She was born July 14, 1868 in Prairieville Missouri and married W. H. Tucker in 1879. Survived by daughter Mrs. C. B. Thompson of Mission Texas. four sons G. L. Tucker A. L. Tucker T. L. Tucker W. L. Tucker. 11 grandchildren six great grandchildren. two brothers Nicholls Minor Bardwell and James W Minor Kaufman. one sister Mrs Edna Carter Eiola Missouri.

Stoneburg Men Seek Pension Blanks Amid Shortage
Dave Major, secretary of Stoneburg's chamber of commerce, logged Friday as the pension blank distribution began. By Thursday night 310 blanks had been issued and, in cold weather, 85 year old W. J. Raby rode ten miles to Bowie only to find blanks exhausted, then was helped home by a friend funding his return rail fare.
