Mrs. A. H. Hughes of 108 Sherwood street Roslindale, 30 years old and described as strikingly beautiful, attempted death by gas at the United States Hotel last night. She was found unconscious in her room after a burner was left on, treated by Dr. Galvin and team, and later revived. She gave her name but offered no motive.
