Board of Health reports five smallpox cases in Chelsea traced to George Thompson a colored barber at Mainjoy's shop Broadway and Third. Thompson, ill with varioloid, worked until yesterday. McKeever another barber and boarder at 107 Walnut also fell ill. Quarantines placed on Thompson, McKeever, and Mainjoy. shop closed and patients moved to pest house. Additional cases Louis Sampson, Charles Bearse, Arthur Stowell reported and quarantined. severity varies. The pest house capacity 16 with possible crowding if spread continues.\"

Disappearance of William Fenton at Union Station

William Fenton, a 75 year old resident of Shrewsbury Mass, vanished from North Union Station yesterday morning. SCHOONER ALY OF THE WEST SANK BY ICEBERG NEAR BELLE ISLE

A schooner named Aly of the West from Labrador carrying thirty crew and 50 skins of codfish struck an iceberg near Belle Isle and sank almost immediately. Juvenile Arraigned for Rainsford Island Fire

William Havey, about 14, was arraigned in Superior Criminal Court before Judge Aiken on a complaint charging him with involvement in a fire at a Rainsford Island building. Havey was arrested in the North End. Willard Baker received 18 months at the House of Correction for embezzlement.
