Desuin Sept 24 police surprised a group of moonlighters at Feale Bridge County Kerry. Constables hid near the bridge hut a volley issued from the moonlighters. Arlington man killed by Nashua express at Somerville bridge
Lewis V. Soule of Arlington was instantly killed on the Boston & Lowell line near the Sycamore street bridge in Somerville. He had moved to the inner rail to let an oncoming train pass when the Nashua express rounded the curve, striking him in the back and throwing him against the bridge abutments. The engineer blew the whistle, but the hiss of the other train drowned the warning. Soule, an agent for Selleck, Ross & Co. of Albany, was taken to Boston and returned to Somerville on police orders.
