Joseph A Barraja Frauenfelda, a Fore River Shipbuilding draftsman, was arraigned before Judge Dodge on charges of disclosing national defense secrets after a secret federal grand jury indictment. Bail set at $3000. he remained jailed at Charles Street awaiting trial.
Evidence against Frauenfelda came from the Cassier Magazine Company of New York. He allegedly supplied articles on submarine boat construction for the US navy at Fore River yards. Arrested before boarding a New York train, he faces a federal offence for publishing ship secrets.
