An outward bound Boston electric car crowded with passengers exploded by dynamite at 8 o clock near the corner of Wyoming and Main streets Melrose an eyewitness report notes the scene at the moment of the blast.
A fifty pound box of dynamite fell from an express wagon in front of an electric car. In the dark the motorman failed to see the hazard in time to stop.
