About 70,000 Odd Fellows are scheduled to parade Boston streets starting at noon under cool and fair skies. The local forecast calls for continued cool, northerly winds becoming variable, ensuring good marching weather.

In East Machias an Italian railroad worker unearthed a chest in an old cellar and pried it open to find about $4000 in gold coins. He fled to the woods with the chest, leaving $65 wages unpaid.
Five year old John P Keffler of 261 Everett Street East Boston was instantly killed when a wagon horse ran over him in front of his home yesterday before 2 pm. The driver fled after seeing the tragedy and remains unknown. Medical examiner Harris will view the body.
The State Democracy executive committee met at the American House to set officers for the Worcester convention on Oct 4. Philip J. Doherty will be permanent presiding officer, with Christopher T. Callahan as chairman and William S. McNary as temporary presiding officer and secretary. A resolutions committee was named, and delegates were urged to attend the convention and the pre-convention meeting.
Joseph McPherson a 3 year old boy of 12 Dove Street Roxbury was badly burned yesterday while playing on his mother's bedroom floor. He picked up matches dropped by his father and his night dress caught fire. He is at City Hospital with physicians fearing death.
