Providence Sept 20 The feature at Narragansett Park was a New England record for three consecutive heats in the 2:10 pacing. George Lennon of 215 Eustis Street, 13, was arrested Thursday for truancy. He said he skipped school to earn money for two younger sisters and a father with consumption. Lennon had worked mornings, noon, and night for a Hampden Street baker while attending Dearborn School. F S Eldredge, a former employer, posted bonds for his release and court appearance.
