The Newport County Hunt held its second annual races at Aquidneck Park with crowds of cottagers and city visitors. Events included a flat mule race won by Lucy, a pony dash won by Egg, a steeplechase won by Gladstone, a one mile pony hurdle race won by Rosario, and a two and a half mile red coat hurdle race won by Gladstone. J J Dwyer’s George ended with a broken ankle ending his racing days.
