Reports from Pretoria indicate the Transvaal may accept terms of the latest dispatch discussed in the Volksraad this afternoon. The move is viewed as potentially forming a basis for negotiations toward a peaceful settlement.
John and Michael Green, sons of George T. Green of 68 Brimmer street, died within ten days of each other. John, famed in boxing circles for his ring record, died August 31 in Sacramento, California. Michael passed away at his home after a lingering illness. The Sacramento Knights of Pythias cared for Johns remains.
