Salem man attempts suicide on Bass River bridge

H Flynn of Salem tried to kill himself on Bass River bridge at 11 PM with a bullet to the temple while in the company of a young woman named Wilkins from Beverly. He was found unconscious on the bridge, taken to Beverly Hospital, after the woman alerted officials. She said he asked if she wished to die as well.
