Fort Ethan Allen Soldier Indicted for Murder
The Chittenden county grand jury indicted Benjamin Williams for murder in the first degree. Williams deserted his company at Fort Ethan Allen and shot Policeman James K. McGrath of Burlington on May 12 as the officer tried to capture him. Trial set in three weeks.
