He said the heavy man is active on his feet and plans to return to the United States soon to train for a bout with Tom Sharkey. He will stay a week then sail on the Dominion Line’s New England arriving Boston September 21. He expects four weeks of training at Allenhurst New Jersey and remains confident of defeating Sharkey.

High Mass for Private Rourke Memorial Service Planned

A high mass of requiem will be held for Private L. Rourke of the Massachusetts Regiment U SVC at the Church of the Action Sumner East Boston. Rourke served with the Sheridan guards for three years and enlisted when the war began. He died during the campaign while serving in New York.
