Organized two years ago, it grows from mission work linked to Central Congregational Church led by Rev. E. A. Buck. The 65 members and 10 probationers own a chapel and land costing 6000 dollars, with 150 dollars still due.

Havana sugar prices remained high with no sales and nominal quotations for the week. Molasses sugar ranges from 250 to 276 gold per quintal, centrifugal 92 to 96 percent at 343 to 381, warehouses show 8300 boxes 210500 bags and 1150 hhds in Havana and latanzas. Week’s reprints total 8800 bags and 41 hhds with exports 28000 bags mostly to the United States. Freight rates for sugar loading at Havana to the United States stand at 175 to 200 gold per hhld, with north coast ports at 2226 to the United States.
