Mrs. James A. McDonald of Maple Street learned from neighbors that her husband filed a $25,000 suit against Orin N. Kidder of Ayer alleging he alienated Mrs. McDonald's affections. In Washington Park Roxbury a gang fight with bats clubs and knives left one youth badly cut and others treated for injuries. John Garfinkle 18 of 1 Bower Park Roxbury is in City Hospital with multiple stab wounds. William Coughlin 17 was arrested for assault with a knife. Police say Garfinkle was part of a 20 man gang seeking a clash with another Roxbury gang.

Game Maker's Son Killed in Strasbourg Paris Air Crash

Richard Perkins Parker son of George Parker of Salem Mass president of Parker Brothers was among four killed when the Strasbourg Paris express airplane crashed during landing at Le Bourget. He planned to sail home Sept 3 with his parents and sister but stayed in France. His body to be returned aboard the France next Saturday with classmate Philip Saltonstall. Parker Class of 1922 Harvard, completed in three years. Identification came from a letter in his packet.

Woman Found Guilty For Imp Modest Dress in Zion

Mrs. Elizabeth Maden was found guilty by a Zion jury for violating the city dress ordinance by wearing a waist 6 inches below the collarbone. She was fined $10 and costs as city attorney Theodore Forby declared limits on women’s attire.

Paderewski Ranch Sells at Paso Robles Auction

The Paso Robles estate of Ignace Paderewski, famed pianist and former Polish premier, sold for 163000 dollars for 2400 acres at about 70 dollars an acre. A real estate firm acting for New York interests bought the land after Paderewski announced proceeds would aid Poland.

Man Hurt After Being Run Over By Truck In Rogers Street

William J. Quinn of 8 Oak street fell under a moving automobile truck on Rogers street while attempting to board it. He was removed by Motorcycle Officer Daniel Lynch to St. John’s Hospital and placed on the danger list. Andrew C. Tyrrell of 28 Birch street was the driver.

A police dragnet stretched across the city after the murder of Mrs Monica Morrill a shoe worker. Police say her dying breath named Philip W McDermott 61 of 5 Ellis Street Lynn as her assailant and hunted him through the night hoping to uncover his whereabouts.
