Police Board Weighs Duty Charge Against Patrolman Goldie
The Police Board met for the first time since Clark’s Europe return to consider Patrolman Joseph Goldie of Station 10 over alleged neglect of duty by leaving his beat for a drink on July 2. Goldie, a 28 year veteran, denies the charge except admitting a drink at his home. Captain Wyman, who had men monitoring the patrolman, accuses him of persecution.
