Somerville Tragedy Shocks Town Involving Jordan Family
The victim is Mrs. Hanorah Jordan known by stage name Irene Shannon a 30 year old woman. Her body parts were found in a trunk at a Hancock street lodging house with other remains in a furnace and kitchen stove. Chester Jordan the husband 29 confessed after arrest. Detective work by George W. Collins uncovered the crime. Jordan is brother in law to Jesse L. Livermore previously employed by him.

Orville Wright piloted his airplane at Fort Myer Virginia during a drill. While circling the grounds he pulled the lever to turn the planes the wrong way and was forced to descend to prevent contact with electrical wires.

Wright machine completes brief test flight over ground
A Wright aircraft built for the Signal Corps of the army circled the grounds once and half way around the field before a mishap occurred. The plane stayed aloft for one minute and 15 seconds with several undulations and occasional dips to within 25 feet of the earth. Mr. Wright said he was entirely satisfied with the machine.

Roberts dying man names shooter in Atlantic City
Charles B. Roberts, Baltimore clubman, shot while riding in a rolling chair with Mrs. W. 8. G. Williams, also of Baltimore. Physicians told at 1 a.m. he was dying with only hours to live, and he reportedly named the assailant in a statement to the police.
Notorious Boston Slaying Echoes in Somerville Case
Police say Chester S. Jordan of Somerville killed his wife after years of jealousy. Dismembered remains were found in a Somerville apartment and scattered through Boston including a trunk discovery and a room at Hancock Street. Jordan, in custody, described a violent act but offered a version lacking full murder confession. He recounted a fall down stairs and an unclothed body found with throat cut, with investigators pressing the third degree in the case.
