Boston Republicans field large slate for Massachusetts Legislature

The Boston GOP shows an unusually long list of hopefuls to the Massachusetts Legislature with about five or six nominations per ward possible. In Ward 1 East Boston incumbents Stalker and Bagley face Grimes and Millar. Ward 11 likely renominates Saunders amid his ward support and leadership, with Frothingham as possible second choice after Selfridge’s withdrawal. Ward 10 already has two announced candidates.

Murderer Still At Large After Wife Slaying In Holyoke

Sept 2 Holyoke Mrs Alberto died at City Hospital after her throat was cut by her husband Charles Alberto, real name Antonia Di Odato. He, a Clinton man, has not been apprehended. The couple formerly lived on Grove street in Clinton. The motive was Di Odato’s plan to take his wife to Italy and her refusal led to the lethal quarrel.
