Cincinnati Chief Orders Removal of Quo Vadis Posters

Cincinnati police launched a crusade against posters for Quo Vadis displayed around the Walnut Street Theatre. Chief Deitsch deemed several images objectionable, ordering down most depictions including Ursus with Lygia, and the naked Glaucus scene was left due to flames obscuring the legs. The Jolly Burlesquers pictures were pulled for insufficient clothing.

Arion and Orpheus Societies Fete at Tremont Boston Concert

The Arion Society of New York and the Orpheus Musical Society performed at the Tremont Theatre in Boston last evening to a strong audience despite warm weather and a late start to the season. The male chorus received wide praise, and soloists including Mr Granitza and Miss Maurer drew encores. Proceeds benefit the Altenheim fund and the German Aid Society. A social gathering followed at the Orpheus Club, with a trolley trip to Newton and Franklin and a Narragansett trip planned for this morning departing from South Station.

Vaudeville, Plays Open Season At City Theaters

Today the Music Hall debuts with vaudeville and surprise acts while The County Fair at the Park Theatre continues its strong run.
