Will Seek Arrests of Strike Leaders for Contempt of Court

Broadway managers plan to seek arrest warrants for strike leaders after actors joined a Boston walkout that closed six theatres. Courts had injunctions. the 100 percent strike halted performances at venues including the Tremont Plymouth Shubert Wilbur and Colonial. Patrons were notified of refunds as the curtain never rose.

Hope of Averting Police Crisis Appears in City

James J. Storrow, leader of a city civic group, expects a settlement between Commissioner Curtis and police officers. After Crowley ordered all patrolmen to report at 8 am, the move was withdrawn and only yesterday’s laid off officers were asked to report. Storrow spoke at the Parker House after a late subcommittee meeting with Vahey and Feeney.
