Michael Collins Mystery Death On South Boston Flats

Michael H Collins 29, missing since last Sunday from 90 East Newton Street, was found dead on South Boston flats. Fire destroys Buffalo Academy of Music and nearby shops

A blaze gutted the Academy of Music in Buffalo and damaged the adjoining liquor store of P. C. Miller the saloon of Jacob Fried the fur and hat shop of George W Comstock and the William Vaughn Company variety store. The fire began at 1 a m spread through the block and was under control by 1 44 but rekindled. Several firemen were treated for injuries and damage is estimated at 250 000 to 300 000. The Academy building dating to 1862 later passed to a syndicate including the Bank of Commerce the German American Bank and the Bank of Syracuse.

Public Open Day for Warships Draws Over 10000 Visitors

Ten thousand visitors thronged Boston Harbor to tour the white cruisers New York Minneapolis and Montgomery lying at the wharves. Boats ferried crowds from ET Wharf Tow Boat and Boston Tow Boat offices and from Fort Warren landing. Open from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. today with 25 and 50 cent round trips. last day of public access before departure Wednesday.

Robbers Take $350 from Cedar Street Resident

William Casey of Cedar Street was accosted by two youths at Cedar and Highland at 11:45 PM on Saturday. They pummelled him and robbed him of $60, then fled. One restrained him while the other searched his pockets before escaping.
