Woman seeks shelter from abusive husband in city
At 1 o'clock Sunday morning a woman appealed to Miss Sabourin for shelter at 36 Batavia Street. She stayed with Miss Sabourin all day and returned to her husband Sunday night for her child Irma. On Tuesday, after brief refuge, Fletcher confronted her at Batavia Street and began abusing her on the sidewalk, a bystander intervened.
