East Boston waterfront sale seals parcels to Gordon Abbott

A large portion of East Boston waterfront between the Boston Revere Beach Lynn railroad ferry and Jeffries Point has been acquired by Gordon Abbott of Old Colony Trust Company. Abbott has taken four parcels including Marginal Street sites and an 106,000 square foot tract from Edward T. Pigeon trustees, with several other parcels possibly under options. The purchases span Marginal Street, Maverick Street, and adjoining parcels near the narrow gauge railroad, with values ranging from under 9,000 to 18,100 in land assessments and 15,000 for a Maverick Street lot. Additional transfers include the Simpson Dry Dock Company area and parcels once owned by William B. Stevens and George Parker, all remaining waterfront unimproved.
