Woman Survives Niagara Barrel Dare From Bay City Native

Mrs Taylor, a Bay City native and schoolstand, rode a 41 by 3 foot barrel over Niagara Falls. She landed in the Maid of the Mist eddy and was pulled toward the rocks by a pole and later rescued on the American side. She survived after prayers during the descent and said she would not redo the feat. She sought financial help but did not regret attempting it.

Woman survives daring barrel plunge over Niagara Falls

Mrs Annie Edson Taylor of Niagara Falls New York aged fifty went over the falls in a barrel on the Canadian side today and survived with a scalp wound a slight brain concussion minor shock and bruises doctors say she is not seriously harmed and likely to be out of bed soon the trip covered a mile through rapids before reaching the precipice the barrel remained upright landing feet down after the 158 foot descent.

Defalcation Losses at Merchants National Bank Lowell

Washington reports official figures on the Merchants National Bank of Lowell defalcation. Smith and Swift left with over 1.2 million dollars, 3810 dollars of cash retained, 92 000 dollars of cash and 3810 missing sums recovered through counsel.
