Gloucester Fisherman Captain Whit Cleazes Dies at 84
Gloucester Oct 1 Captain Whit Cleazes aged 84 died at his daughter’s home after a long illness. He was the last Gloucester fisherman to ship fish to New York and Boston by sailing boats. He served on the Common Council and Board of Aldermen and was a Tyrian Lodge Mason since May 18, 1869. He is survived by one daughter.
