Washington Oct 19 President Wilson, after relief from a prostatic condition retarding his recovery last week, experienced slight digestive trouble today. His condition remained otherwise unchanged according to Rear Admiral Grayson his personal physician.
Colonel Arthur Lynch, formerly an Irish Nationalist MP and Roosevelt ally, declares in Boston that Great Britain will overthrow its monarchy within three months and establish a republic. He foresees the empire breaking apart with Ireland Canada and Australia following.
Delegates warn that Palen must agree today on the right of collective bargaining or the conference will fail. Both sides refuse concessions and delegates see the situation as utterly hopeless.
A fire last night destroyed the men's locker section of the City Point bath houses at Marine Park in Boston and threatened the Head House and its pier. Firefighters responded from two alarms, saving most of the Head House. damage estimated at $8000. Cause under review, with incendiary origin or cigarette stub suspected. Pier approach damaged, about 200 feet to be rebuilt.
Viscount Astor of Hever Castle died of heart disease Saturday morning after a year of ill health. His body lies at Waldorf Astor's St James Square residence. Cremation is planned and ashes are expected to be placed in Cliveden chapel at Taplow, Bucks.
Washington October 19 The National Industrial Conference failed to bridge the rift between labor and employer wings after a three hour central committee session. Employers demanded a clause for individual bargaining rights that labor rejected, blowing apart a tentativeSaturday agreement on collective bargaining.
Dr Grayson reports the President had a slight digestive disturbance but remains in satisfactory condition. Chicago on October 19 details show the Luikart babies Sherley and Edna improving after poison by their mother. Dr. Carter ordered a trip to Lincoln Park refectory where the girls enjoyed ice cream and dancing for crowds. Roy Luiskhart plans to bring them back to Detroit next Saturday with funds to build a home and hopes the mother soon regains balance.
The Finnish army General Staff told Viborg officials that Petrograd and Kronstadt were captured by anti Bolshevik forces. The report reached Washington and was conveyed to the State Department tonight.
Acting Secretary Phillips relayed a dispatch from Viborg saying Finnish general staff claims about Petrograd and Kronstadt being captured by Yudenitch's forces lack corroboration. The report, dated yesterday, noted Gatchina’s fall and suggested Bolsheviks would regroup for a decisive clash with Denikin’s south advance.
Mr. Astor died suddenly after months of declining health at Major Astor's home. He was last seen outdoors Friday and died in bed Saturday morning, with details on the exact cause and funeral arrangements not disclosed. Astor, wealthy yet private, moved from America to avoid publicity and quickly joined England's exclusive social circle. He did not seek leadership in sports or polo, unlike some multimillionaires.

The Prince of Wales arrived in Niagara Falls Ontario and pressed the searchlight switch that lit the falls after darkness during the war. He stayed in Hamilton yesterday and is housed in a hotel overlooking the falls with the same bed his father used here. The royal party will leave for Brantford tomorrow.
Flier B. W. Maynard finished first in the army transcontinental air race, resting near control stations before sundown Saturday and preparing to resume at sunrise. Captain J. O. Donaldson is expected to take second, after reaching Binghamton 142 miles from Mineola Saturday evening.
