Sheriff Sylvester said he expects to head them off within hours after sightings on Mt Bigelow where they dried clothes by a fire. They asked for food but refused entry and moved toward Stratton to Canada as deputies from Madison Newport and Flagstaff relay horses for a morning capture.

Woman Attacks Husband With Hammer in Roxbury

Mrs. Conroy lay unconscious and bloody after a hammer attack at 10 Dove Street Roxbury. Neighbors rushed in when a quarrel turned violent. A patrolman then intervened rescuing Mr Conroy who was overwhelmed by women. Mrs Conroy remained in precarious condition at City Hospital.

Fred DeAngelis aged 12 and Thomas Mahoney aged 14 used a dark lantern and a 10 cent novel to plan a break into the Austin Brush Company safe at 134 North Street. They climbed via a fire escape to the second floor, but only $5.17 was taken before they were discovered as Charles A. Austin reported the scene to Station 1.
