Obituary: Hon Edward Lawrence Leader in Charlestown Life

Charlestown mourns Hon Edward Lawrence at his home on High Street after a long illness. Born in 1810 at Harvard, he built a career in furniture, then banking, presiding at Bunker Hill National Bank from 1855 until his death. He served in the state legislature and senate, chaired Charlestown boards, and supported Universalist faith. He leaves two sons and two daughters.
