The Chicago Record postal election count shows 112 239 votes tallied by 5 PM with Iowa Indiana Missouri results indicating Bryan gains. Harrison voters shift to Bryan surpassing Cleveland to McKinley in these three states, yielding a net Bryan gain of 463.
The British fruit steamer Brookline, Captain Anderson, reached Long Wharf in the afternoon after a rough crossing from Port Antonio. She carried 17 500 banana bunches 656 barrels 205 boxes guages 25 boxes grap fruit and 5 cabin passengers for the Boston Fruit Company.
