Hanson Garfield died at his home in Lee yesterday aged sixty four. He was the oldest paper manufacturer in the country born in 1810 and a second cousin of the late President Garfield. Garfield began paper making in East Lee and remained there over fifty years. He served two terms in the State Senate and several terms in the House along with various town offices.
