Holyoke, Oct. 13. Expert Estes reports findings from the tax collector account review. He cites totals due from 1895 to 1897 and notes erased pencil entries altering sums. no legal action yet. Keough is in New York, bonds total 175000, and abetted by bondsmen ready to cover shortages.
President McKinley, bound for the East, spoke to hundreds at Glenwood as his train prepared to depart. He told Western supporters that despair had gone and urged unity as the railcar moved away.
Frances Waldron twenty one of East Providence Rhode Island attempted suicide by chloroform in a basement police station cell after being jailed on a larceny charge involving Miss Clara B George. She was found unconscious by Lt Frohock and revived with difficulty by Dr Fraser. Waldron had posed as a school teacher and lodger at the Kendrick house before the October robbery.
Belle Stokes, wife of Charles F. Inslee, has obtained a divorce in a legal action. The court ruling finalizes the separation and grants her the relief sought.
