Secretaries defaulter alleged in Boston insurance firm
Henry B. White, secretary of the Shoe and Leather Insurance Co, is alleged to be a defaulter of at least 15000 dollars. He vanished Monday night, leaving by the Shore Line train to New York. The board declared his office vacant, and police are tracing him. Only 700 dollars cash was left in the office. The investment board suspected irregularities a month earlier, with vouchers sent to outside agents. White’s actions do not implicate the company’s funds or the Boston Protective department under his presidency. MALDEN.
