In four years no case of sticking up has occurred.

Mrs Abigail Gregory Mason, widow of the musical composer Dr Lowell Mason, died in Orange New Jersey yesterday. She was born in Westboro Massachusetts in 1797.
The three year old trotting record at Terre Haute Indiana fell as Axtell clocked 2 12 for a mile surpassing Sunol. Williams driven colt was cheered as he left the sulky. Colonel Conley of Chicago bought Axtell for 105000 amid rival offers and reluctance from Williams who called it like selling a child.
In New York on October 11, lineman John Feeks of the Western Union Telegraph Company fell from a fifty foot pole at Chambers and Centre streets while cutting wires.
