Found Dead in Hotel Room From Gas Leak
A man claiming to be Henry Wallace from New York City was found dead in room 40 at Hotel Alpha on Green Street after a gas cock was left open. The room showed the gas odor, and clerks entered via an adjacent room. Dr. Lawler failed to revive him. the deceased appeared sober earlier but had liquor afterward. He was about 35, 5 feet 6 inches to 3 feet 10 inches, and carried $43 with $3.42 spent. The body was removed to the morgue by Undertaker Tinkham.
