Country bankers meeting in Boston at the 39th annual convention of the American Bankers Association voiced opposition to the currency measure under Senate banking and currency committee review in Washington. Tate had a suit cleaned and pressed while visiting, claiming belt damage and rear bagging after return. The company argued any flaws were due to poor initial fit or altered corsets.
Funeral services held for Mrs Fanny B Ward writer and lecturer who died Saturday night at home in Washington. Body to be taken to Ravenna Ohio for interment. Ward aged 79 was a prominent newspaper writer more than three decades ago.
