Death of Dr. Lewis Ends Hyde Park Educator Career
Dr. Lewis, longtime deputy superintendent in his division for thirteen years, died in January. Born in Provincetown on February 19, 1851, he studied at Wilbraham Academy, Dartmouth College, and Harvard Medical School class of 1887. A reformed educator, he served Malden and Hyde Park school boards, married with two children, and belonged to Allen Lodge of Odd Fellows Hyde Park.
