President Wilson is gravely ill and cannot leave his bed. Dr Grayson, his personal physician, says the condition is less favorable. Four specialists have been consulted and all agree on the gravity of the illness and the need for absolute rest for some time.
The committee on elections voted to unseat Congressman John F. Fitzgerald ex mayor of Boston and declared Peter F. Tague legally elected to Congress from the 10th Massachusetts district. A minority report urged vacancy and a new election. Fitzgerald said he would fight for a new election on the House floor.
Washington October 2 The Senate moved to action on the peace treaty by sweeping aside 36 of 45 amendments crafted by the foreign relations committee. Majorities against the proposals ranged from 15 to 28 as the measure advanced.
Washington reports Dr. Cary T. Grayson stating at 10 pm that President Wilson is a very sick man with less favorable condition and rest is essential after consultation with Drs Dercum Ruffin and Stitt. The White House bulletin notes he has remained in bed all day.

Mary Cottle of 500 Audubon road Pack Bay was found unconscious in her room late yesterday by her employer Mrs Percy Brown. She was taken to the City Hospital where doctors believe she is suffering from poisoning.
