Huntress Named New Middlesex Senator At Somerville Convention
The third Middlesex senatorial convention met in Citizen Hall Somerville with 42 delegates. Franklin B Huntress led 25 votes to 17 for William H Hodgkins. Huntress accepted with a speech. Joseph H Cullis joined the State central committee and district committee members from Belmont Arlington Somerville and Arlington were chosen. After the vote the nominee held a post meeting collation.

Tragic 10-year-old Jane Taliaferro Fells 50 Feet
Jane Taliaferro of 32 Dwight Street slipped from a fifth floor room after being locked in. She fell fifty feet into the yard and suffered multiple fractures and severe internal injuries. Doctors at City Hospital say she cannot live.

Cyclist Herbert James Killed In South Boston Crash
Herbert J. James of 16 Linden Street South Boston left his home at 7 30 A M and was fatally injured on Federal Street near Mt. Washington Avenue after trailing a rapidly moving Dorchester Avenue car. He died at 8 48 A M at Emergency Hospital. The exact cause is undetermined.

How Young James Rode To His Death
James, 16, a clerk for West & Coane, fell from a streetcar on Federal Street Bridge. He was knocked unconscious by the car rear steps, found bleeding from the ears, and died after being taken to Emergency Hospital. Witnesses say he was on the platform when the incident occurred.
