Predicts Gain for Socialism
George Allan England argues in 1914 that international Socialism, though battered by war, will prevail as a force for peace. He predicts a revived anti militarism, an international peace congress, and ultimately Socialist republics replacing monarchies and capitalism as the path to lasting peace. He cites German socialists' wartime split and press censorship as signposts toward a future Socialist influence. Public letters from Bryant's Pond, Maine, Oct. 1, 1914.
