Homeless sixty year old man finds shelter and illness

Mix-Up in Somerville Nomination for Ward 2 School Panel

A ward 2 caucus on November 22 chose Fran cis Garland and Benard J. Flynn for the school committee. Great Tower Safely Towed Across Harbor

A 110 foot coal tower weighing nearly 100 tons was moved from the Boston Electric Light wharf on Summer Street to the rebuilt coal pier of John Morrison near the North ferry slip in East Boston. The operation used the wrecking lighter Trilby with lighters Grace Cushing and Foster lashed to stabilize, supported by towboats Juno and Ariel and temporary stays. The tow faced tight clearance at Congress Street drawbridge during the harbor crossing.
