Mr. Mitchell Wins Chelsea Mayoral Nomination

In Chelsea Republican convention at Shartleff Hall the mayoralty and eight aldermen were chosen. George Edwin Mitchell captured 55 votes to 23 for Hart and one each for Lord and Phipps, a recess followed as nominees were finalized. Mitchell, born 1844 in Cambridge, has long served Chelsea in city government and is a member of the G A R Post 35.

In Faux River a two story house owned by Elisha W Buffenton on South Somerset near Fail River burned this morning causing about 4000 dollars in damage.
