Hyde Park Car Collision Injures Druggist and 25 Riders

An 8 o'clock electric car from Mattapan to Hyde Park jumped the rail on East River street and struck a tree, injuring about 25 passengers. Drugist Thomas Fallon suffered a deep back cut from shattered glass, with Mrs Fallon and May Cogan among others shaken by the crash on a wet track. Officials cite wet rails and washed sand as possible factors, the accident occurring on a curve.

Vitriol Attack Allegedly Aimed At Ex-Lover in Lowell

Mrs Elizabeth Letoile 32 was arrested at the police station on charges of assaulting John B Bouchard once her lover. Police plan to prove jealousy prompted her to fling vitriol into his face in her apartment at No 2 Hereford Place off Marshall Street. Bouchard, recently married, may lose sight. Letoile says the vitriol spilled when he rose his hand as she answered a call from the bedroom, claiming the act was an accident.

Miss Julia Mackintire Dies After Lamp Explosion

Miss Julia Mackintire a 21 year old girl died in City Hospital after a kerosene lamp exploded at her home on Warrenton street. She had been heating curling tongs and attempted to extinguish the flame when the lamp burst burning her clothing. Family members aided her but she suffered intensely for hours before death at 7:30 p.m. The accident occurred at 1:45 p.m. and she hoped to attend church that evening.

Millionaire Day Stabbing Rocks Minneapolis Night Club

Frank H. Hamilton a Minneapolis newspaper man is jailed on murder charges after the stabbing death of Leonard Day a young millionaire social figure at the West Hotel billiard room around 2 AM. Witnesses say Day and Hamilton fought amid drinking with several prominent men present. Coroner inquest cites fatal neck wound and head lacerations. Day, aged miller, was a longtime city resident living with his mother at the West Hotel.
