Women Win Nominations as Loyal Republicans Push Board Seats

The Loyal Women of American Liberty led by Mrs. Eliza Trask Hill forced a Republican municipal convention in Wesleyan Hall to nominate candidates for the School Board. The meeting, with a stormy vote, replaced some choices, naming Dr. James A. McDonald, Dr. Otis Marion, Edward H. Dunn, and others, while opposing Edward Everett Brown and pushing Mrs. Fifield’s bid. The Democratic aldermanic committee also named a ticket plan with a subcommittee to finalize selections. Ex-Representative Jeremiah J. Donovan withdraws from the Workingmen’s League slate.
