Fasig Tipton Sale At Madison Square Garden Sells Top Stallion

The Fasig Tipton horse sale at Madison Square Garden continued with strong attendance as Tommy Britton 2:08 from Liberty Bell Keepsake sold for $20,000 to BE A Lord of Chicago. The brown stallion foaled 1893, bred by Thomas Britton of Glen View Ky, has won nineteen heats under 2:10 and is hailed as world champion for three heats with fast records. Five bidders participated and bidding rose in 60 increments up to $20,000. Also sold was Marion G 2:10 pacer owned by W M Boyleston and bought by John Meeghan for $1,450.
