Odd Bits of News Recap from Historic Clippings
A collage of brief notes covers voting records, museum acquisitions, ancient weaponry, buried rifles, and social statistics. It cites rising female turnout, Milton’s commonplace book at the British Museum, a thousand-year span of cannons, a preserved magazine rifle in Nuremberg, and marriage versus divorce figures in Japan. Additional items note Vesuvius precautions, a bullet lodged in an Australian volunteer’s brain, Bible writing efforts by a Liverpool Christian woman and a Midlands preacher, Chicago’s three-day death surge linked to weather, and a finding that newborn chicks swim instinctively.
