Miss Mildred E. White of Brookline sues Greeley Weston for 50000 dollars alleging breach of promise. Weston testifies that the relationship with the plaintiff was platonic and dismisses the claim as a misreading of affection.
In Norfolk County Superior Court at Dedham yesterday the cross examination of Miss White revealed details of car rides with Weston and Miss Kelley. Letters from Miss White to Weston were read showing tension over his marriage to Miss Kelley and requests to retrieve a picture.
The defense wrapped up as Mrs. Alice Weston testified about her marriage to Weston and her knowledge of Miss White and Miss Andrews. Weston denied intent to marry White and said no breach of promise case existed with Andrews. The case adjourned to Monday for arguments and jury briefing.
The document shows Mildred E. White addressing Miss Andrews and Mr. Weston about sanity, coercion, and threats. The letter hints at misconduct and emotional strain while noting the case will resume Monday at 10 o clock.
