Child crushed by street horse in Portsmouth death

A 4 year old daughter of Albert Snow crossing Pleasant Street in Portsmouth was struck by a horse pulling Herman Brunckett’s store team. An iron hoof crushed the skull and she died shortly after. The driver acted to prevent the accident and bore no blame.

Milwaukee bookkeeper kills wife child then himself

William R Binder a Milwaukee tobacco company bookkeeper shot his wife and five year old daughter at their residence on Cambridge Avenue then killed himself. A servant girl heard the shots and found the bodies as neighbors were summoned. The tragedy appears linked to overwork and stress.
