Robbery Suspect James Derby Arrested in Boston

James Derby aged 41 of Orient Heights was arrested at 1 30 this morning in Adams Square after a chase from the Clarendon Hotel where he allegedly held up the night clerk with a loaded revolver. Taxi driver George Libbey led police to the scene as Derby sought escape in a street car, with officers pursuing and awaiting the holdup man.

Hotel holdup ends with gun demand over unpaid room

An argument with clerk Edward Millea over pay led to a hotel holdup in which Derby demanded 82 at gunpoint, claiming payment. Millea disputed the charge but Derby received the money. Libbey tried to intervene and was shot at, then Derby fled the office and boarded a car as Libbey pursued in his taxi.

Girl stabbed by unidentified man in Cambridge

Stella Barbara aged 24 from 50 Overh Avenue Cambridge was stabbed last night by an unidentified man on her way home. She received two cuts one on the chin and another on the right arm and was taken to Cambridge Hospital where doctors say her condition is not serious.

Despatch reports the armored cruiser Tennessee at Vourla Asia Minor sending a launch to Smyrna for harbor access. The launch was fired upon and forced back. The Tennessee then notified the Wall that it would enter the harbor per U.S. orders and carry out the instructions.
