About 2500 to 3000 operatives were sent home during the day due to no work.

Dreyfus will seek a divorce after an official of the American Optical Company at Southbridge was reportedly threatened by armed bandits who leveled revolvers and forced him to surrender cash before making an escape into the woods. The case follows the wife's testimony in court where she was granted alimony of eight dollars a week.
Andrew S. MacLachlan a 70 year old Brighton carpenter faced a $10,000 breach of promise suit by Mrs. Mary E. Bird of Boston after a three year courtship. They built a home in Roslindale and planned marriage but he said he was too old. Attachment filed at Pemberton Square.
The Drake's Hotel on Peddock's Island burned down around 9:30 last night. The wooden structure, once a popular resort near the south shore, had been largely deserted for years with only a caretaker and watchman on site. The fire lit the harbor for miles and the building, valued at about $5000, was left in ruins.

Judge Robert Grant ordered Edmond A. Dreyfus to give his wife eight dollars weekly as temporary support while divorce action proceeds. Dreyfus also plans to file for divorce promptly, as Mrs. Dreyfus sought twenty dollars weekly for separate maintenance. The ruling is temporary until a final decree in the Divorce Court.

Two armed men held up Robert E. Dwyer the paymaster at the American Optical Company in Southbridge stealing $1000 in pay envelopes. A shot grazed Dwyer as he pursued the bandits who fled into nearby woods. Police and armed citizens searched the area while surrounding towns were alerted.
Paris reports Ferdinand Pinney Earle kidnapped his son Harold with help from a woman named Mrs Evans. The boy, placed at the Ecole D Aquitaine by his mother, first Mrs Earle, was abducted on Sunday November 9. The scheme, laid with months of planning, shows calculated execution.

At a town meeting Revere residents voted to apply to the Legislature for annexation to Boston. A special committee presented two plans including annexation with Hyde Park style lines and a city charter with mayor and council. An amendment to ban liquor saloons failed. the two forms will go to the Legislature and, if approved, the town will vote on them at the March election.
Dr. Joseph A. Blake, a leading New York surgeon, answered a separation suit filed by his wife Mrs. Katherine J. Blake. He denies desertion and non-support but admits no contributions since August 1 and seeks dismissal, noting this is the second suit after an earlier action against Mrs. Clarence H. Mackay for alleged alienation of affections.
London suffragette Miss Sylvia Pankhurst announced during an open air address at Bow that the next campaign would launch a no rent strike among London’s working women.
