Plans to convert St Pauls Church into Cathedral

Plans for Boston cathedral at St Pauls project details

The plan calls for a $200000 cathedral using St Pauls existing side walls and foundation with an extended nave and wider sides. The porch would be removed and the rear wall possibly torn down to maximize ground use while height and chancel size increase. Ralph Adams Cram proposes three plans though final decisions await. A basement hall for parish clubs and offices would accompany the enlarged chancel and seating by at least 50 percent.
